Standing 410 feet above the city on a rocky hill, Mehrangarh is one of India's grandest forts. Our stall sits in its ancient shadow, where royalty once rode through.
Jodhpur's signature indigo-painted homes surround us. The colour was once painted by Brahmin families — today it defines the city's soul and identity.
Every morning, as the Thar Desert sun rises and paints the fort gold, our chai is the very first warmth a traveller finds arriving in old Jodhpur.
